Tribe Of Frog Stage Design, 2026
Following the loss of the original Tribe of Frog stage to fire, I was tasked with creating a new stage design that respected the festival’s established identity while introducing a fresh narrative. Drawing inspiration from the lifecycle of a butterfly, I developed a cocoon-inspired canopy that reflects themes of transformation and renewal, both central to the Tribe of Frog aesthetic and the project’s circumstances.
The structure combines timber and translucent twinwall cladding to create an organic, lightweight form that appears to have grown naturally from the landscape through root-like elements emerging from the ground. During the day, the twinwall gives the illusion of an open canopy, while at night integrated uplighting transforms the stage into a glowing beacon, creating an immersive and visually striking environment for performers and festivalgoers alike.
